DALLAS, TX – February 18, 2021 – The Dallas office of Statewide Safety Systems has won a contract with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to provide services and equipment to support their operations beginning in March. TxDOT is responsible for maintaining 80,000 miles of road and supporting aviation, maritime, rain and public transportation across the state.
A nationwide provider of active and passive traffic control systems, Statewide’s one-year agreement calls for work on daily projects involving various maintenance and emergency response responsibilities for the Dallas East District. This includes sections of I-20, I-30 and I-635 in the Dallas metro area. By using trained personnel, Statewide is able to ensure the safe establishment of traffic flow after traffic incidents or during work projects.
“We are pleased to continue our longstanding relationship with TxDOT and look forward to providing the safe, reliable and cost-effective service that the DFW area needs,” said Don Nicholas, CEO of Statewide. “Our Dallas team has the experience and knowledge to handle the complexities of traffic control in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country.”
